Books into Movies - The Help
Ever noticed how many books are optioned by Hollywood? Join us at the Melrose Park Library on Saturday, January 21 to view “The Help.” This will be the first in a series of movies that will be shown at the library on the third Saturday of every month. Every movie that we will be viewing this year is based on a book, so we will make sure we have copies of each title available for anyone who wants to read the book before watching the movie. After the movie, if there is time, we will serve light refreshments and open up the floor for audience discussion. Talk about the movie, talk about the book, compare and contrast them—anything goes. Don’t worry, you don’t have to read the book to come and enjoy the movie. Just join us to watch a great film in the company of other movie lovers.
