Teen Book Club

Do you like to read? Do you like to talk about books? Join the Teen Book Club! Teen Book Club will meet the 4th Tuesday of each month from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. We will read one book per month and discuss that book. Teens will also have input on what book we will read next! Grades 7-12.

This month we're reading Audrey, Wait! by Robin Benway. If you've signed up for Teen Book Club, copies of the book are starting to come in, so stop by the Youth Services desk to pick yours up, then check it out at the front desk. If you haven't signed up and want to join, stop by the Youth Services Desk or email Rose at laroccor@mpplibrary.org.

Books vs. Movies

These young adult books are just a handful of the many have been made into movies. Which do you prefer? The book or the movie? If you've read the book and seen the movie, come in to the Melrose Park Public Library and let one of the Youth Services Librarians know which one you liked better. We'll give a free button!

Just in Time for Halloween!!

International Games Day

Join us on Saturday, November 15th from 10:00am-1:30pm for International Games Day @your library. We will provide the games, prizes, and snacks. Test your skills while you play classic and modern board games, video games, or participate in Musical Bingo. Feel free to bring your own games and don’t forget to invite your friends!

Banned Books Week: From Here to Eternity

Watch the 1953 film based on James Jones' novel about a private cruelly punished for not boxing on his unit's team, while his captain's wife and second in command are falling in love. Set against the backdrop of WWII Hawaii, with actual scenes of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Refreshments served.
