Books vs. Movies

These young adult books are just a handful of the many have been made into movies. Which do you prefer? The book or the movie? If you've read the book and seen the movie, come in to the Melrose Park Public Library and let one of the Youth Services Librarians know which one you liked better. We'll give a free button!

Native American Heritage Month

Commemorate Native American Heritage Month this November by exploring Native American history and culture with the resources below. Divided into two parts, the first can be freely accessed on the Internet, while the second part is reserved for library cardholders. Under “Freely Accessible on the Internet,” you will find links to academic and government collections and online exhibits, spanning a wide-range of scope in space and time.

Food for Fines

Pay your overdue fines with donations of nonperishable food items and toiletries at the Circulation Desk from November 17th through the 26th. Items can include boxed and/or canned foods, deodorant, toothpaste, paper towels, among other resources that will be donated to a local food pantry by the library.
