We have lots of new booklists for kids and tweens of all ages! Our new and improved booklists have pictures of the book and a description of the story, so it is easier to pick out the best book to read. Find booklists for picture books, early readers, and chapter books on display in the stacks, or ask a librarian.
Check out our chat window right over there on the left. We're online any time that the library is open, ready to answer your questions over chat. Give it a try!
You can also IM (instant message) us for book recommendations. (We love helping with that!) Got a question about the library or a program? We can answer it for you in that little white box, too.
Our summer reading program ended August 6th at the Summer Reading Party! The party was a huge hit, with games, prizes, water balloons, and (of course) hot dogs! Thanks to all our participants, caregivers, and donors.
If you are going into grades 4-7 and like snacks, fun activities and discussion, and a book to take home every month, sign up for the Tween Book Club! We meet one Wednesday a month (moving to Thursdays in the fall) to discuss a book. Our summer programs are over, but keep an eye out for fall programs like gaming and crafts!
Now that school is out for summer, you can play games and surf the internet on the library's computers all the time. There are also literacy computers available for kids under age 6. If you need to use a computer for homework, please talk to a librarian.
Make sure to bring your library card if you'd like to use an internet computer, and check out our Kid Links page to find games to play online!
Ever wonder what Katie's favorite TV show is? How about the names of Donna's dogs? Or how many slices of watermelon Amanda can eat in 10 minutes? Come ask at the desk for an interview form and find out everything you've ever wanted to know about us!
