Changes in Loan Policy

Beginning May 1st, the Melrose Park Public Library will be loaning videos for a three-week period, regardless of format or content. You can  check-out DVDs or blu-rays, feature films or documentaries, new and old for 21 days from our library!!! Choose from our extensive collection, or request an item from another library.

Art Contest

The Melrose Park Public Library is looking for expressions of Mexican-American heritage to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Share your artistic creations in any or all formats that capture the meaning of Cinco de Mayo for you for a chance to win a $25 Olive Garden gift certificate. Entries can include drawings, paintings, digital graphics, sketches, and photographs.

Women's History Month

March is Women's History Month, and what better way to commemorate this feat than by reading books relating women's struggles and achievements. The following slideshow outlines the diversity in women's experiences over the past three hundred years, from the colonial era to modern times, with works on an array of individuals including Rosa Parks, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, flappers, World War II factory works, and nuns.
