Candyland

Life-Sized Candyland

We’ll be playing life-sized Candyland in our basement, with each kid being their own Candyland game piece. Registration is required, and this program is for all ages.

Beneath the Surface Crafts

In honor of summer reading, join us for some “Beneath the Surface” crafts. We’ll be making bubble magnets and resin pendants! We will have magazines available for pictures, but feel free to bring your own. Grades 7-12 Registration is required.

Teen Movie

Spend some time cooling down at the library! During the month of June, we’ll vote on a movie to watch at other teen events. This program is for teens going into 7-12 grades. Registration is required.

Teen Book Club

Talking, eating, and hanging out with your friends — what could be better? It’s time to throw in a book. Every month, Teen Book Club meets to discuss a book together. To sign up and get your copy of the book, talk to Katie. This program is for teens going into 7-12 grades.

Teens Rock Out!

Join us for a party dedicated to the rockstars teens are! We will be playing Rock Band, talking about rockstar authors and books, decorating some pet rocks, and eating Pop Rocks. This program is for teens going into 7-12 grades. Registration is required.

Llamado de Arte en la Biblioteca Melrose Park

En un intento a permitir que nuestros usuarios exploren su herencia personal y aumenten el conocimiento cultural de los demás, en acuerdo con nuestra misión, la biblioteca exhibirá obras de arte de artistas de la comunidad durante el mes de Mayo.

Las exhibiciones serán elegidas por el personal de acuerdo a la conveniencia del espacio, la comunidad, y la pertinencia temática.

Spend an evening at the library with your family, watching a movie and eating some snacks. For all ages.

Call for Art

The library would like to exhibit artwork from community artists during the month of May in an effort to allow patrons to explore their personal heritage and enhance cultural awareness of others.

Exhibits will be chosen by staff according to suitability to space, community, and thematic relevance.
